Thieves in Atlanta stole Beyoncé’s unreleased music and other sensitive items. Just a few days before Beyoncé was about to end her Cowboy Carter tour in Atlanta, thieves stole the materials from her tour team from a rental car parked at a local shopping venue. According to The Guardian, one of the main items stolen is her unreleased music.
The incident took place on July 8, 2025, in the parking structure of the busy Krog Street Market, where Beyoncé’s team members had parked a 2024 black Jeep Wagoneer. When they returned, they discovered that someone had broken into the vehicle and stolen some of her valuable items.
As reported by CNN, five hard drives containing unreleased music, concert setlists, and performance footage, all watermarked, were among the stolen items. The thieves also took two MacBook laptops, Apple AirPods Max, Tom Ford sunglasses. They also took a Tumi travel bag, and about $1,000 worth of designer clothes.
The people who were using the car at the time were tour choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue. They filed a report after noticing they broke the rear window and luggage was missing from the car.
Stolen AirPods Help Police Track Suspect
The Atlanta Police Department has confirmed that they are conducting an investigation. They used Apple’s Find My tracking service to trace the location of one set of stolen AirPods. The tracing led them to a Hyundai Elantra and other vehicles which believe they have a connection to the crime. Authorities have since issued a warrant for a suspect, but they have not made any arrests yet.
The Guardian reports that CCTV cameras in the parking place recorded the break-in, and police have collected fingerprints from the vehicle. While the unreleased content has not surfaced online, the theft is raising concerns in the entertainment industry. “Artists are becoming increasingly vulnerable as their work is stored digitally and moved around,” noted The Washington Post. This incident highlights similarities to other significant music thefts, such as when thieves stole Lana Del Rey’s laptop in 2022.
Despite this problem, Beyoncé continued with her performances in Atlanta as planned. She started her shows at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on 10 July and ended on 13 July. Meanwhile, her tour will continue in Las Vegas on July 25 and 26.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information that might be of help to reach out to the Atlanta Police Department since the case is still open. Beyoncé’s team has yet to issue an official public statement.
